Jan built up more than 10 years’ industrial and commercial experience working with some of the largest organisations in Europe including Porsche, Audi, Volkswagen, EADS, Eurocopter, Marathon Oil, Statoil, ExxonMobil, Volvo Trucks and LVMH. He started his career within the specialist valuation industry as a Client Service Director with a national asset valuation firm in 2010 before joining Australis as Managing Director in 2015. Jan is also on multiple boards in the education sector in Queensland/NSW.

“My passion for assets goes quite deep. My father worked with council assets all his life, so I got to see first-hand the impact of asset management and valuation on the organisation where he worked. I especially saw the role these assets played in the community around us. He managed roads, water and sewer assets more than 25 years, driving asset strategies and maintenance regimes. He was also head of projects for a large, national construction company, building in essence, the future hopes and dreams for thousands of homeowners. That’s why we say that the assets we value have “useful lives”, as the concept is not just about the length of the use of the assets, but whose lives they impact in their lifetime. I am very fortunate to get the chance to lead a group of people here at Australis who also see the importance of assets and takes enormous pride in the work they do, knowing how important it is to our clients and the people they serve.”
